International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day! We want to highlight one of our role models with over 20 years in the industry, Liselott Fröstad. You started your career at a law firm in 1999, what are your thoughts on the progress in the industry regarding gender equality?

- A lot has happened, and the progress has truly been moving forward. When I started working at a law firm, I was the first female lawyer to be hired at a firm solely focused on construction law and the building industry. Twenty years later, when I left, more than half of the employees were women. I have also witnessed a significant change in the construction and real estate industry, and it's great to see many more women being visible and having a rightful place in this context.

Another aspect that I believe has changed positively is the ability to achieve a good balance between work and personal life. It is absolutely possible to work as a lawyer and be present with your family.

What would you like to say to young lawyers who have just started their journey in the professional world?

- Trust your gut feeling and do what you find enjoyable and exciting. That creates motivation and a solid foundation for growth. Keep an open mind about what you do and see your possibilities. Lastly, believe in yourself and your abilities.
